Centrex – Type CTX
Discharge of sticky material

The LOUISE CENTREX is ideally suited to discharge from silos or vessels which store sticky material like clay, iron or, FGD-gypsum, wet limestone, coal and so on with difficult flow characteristics. A logarithmically curved discharge arm moves the material to the central opening. The rotating discharge arm reclaims the material from underneath the entire bulk material column with simultaneous undercutting of the silo’s external wall, in order to avoid bulk material build-up and inactive zones. Thus an even lowering of the entire bunker contents is achieved, segregation and bridge formation are avoided. The silo diameter and the geometry of the inner cone are determined by the flow characteristics of the bulk material. Depending on the flow characteristics, the cone is either fixed or rotating. To vary the discharge capacity the CENTREX can be equipped with a frequency controlled drive unit. The CENTREX system works according to the “First in / First out” principle.
