Plate conveyor (Type BPB-SF) Application in quarries This version of the plate conveyor, constructed for heavy-duty use is largely used in quarries for crusher feeding and for the discharge of raw material lumps underneath bunkers. For controlled feeding of crushers, the conveyor is fitted with a rev-limited (preferably hydraulic) drive. Depending on bulk material particle size, capacity and bunker geometry plate thickness can be between 20 and 80 mm, plate width up to 3,000 mm. Caterpillar chains of up to 3,600 kN rupture strength per strand and heavy-duty conveyor rollers guarantee reliable operation.
