The mobile SAMSON^™ Surface Feeder receives as-mined limestone direct from dump trucks within a quarry linked by an overland belt conveyor to an established cement plant.

In this application the SAMSON^™ is supplied with an integral roll sizer to control the material size passed to the overland conveyor for subsequent screening and crushing in an existing process facility at the main plant.

The sizer is supplied with a travelling carriage mounted to rails each side of the overland conveyor allowing the complete crusher assembly to be easily re-positioned whilst maintaining correct alignment.

The SAMSON^™ 1600 series feeder unit is fully mobile on pneumatic tyres requiring no fixed foundations or civil works and may be easily moved along the conveyor also to align with the crusher.

In this manner the feed point may be moved along the bench to minimise the dump truck travel distance maximising on the relative short distance flexibility of truck haulage and the economy of long distance conveyor haulage.
